We built the partner we wished we’d hired — independent, straight-talking, and fully accountable.

Our story

We were the customers first.

Most of our team came from running IT or security at the kinds of companies we now serve: Series A startups, fast-scaling SaaS, Bay Area healthcare. We loved the work and hated our MSPs.

They were too generic, too templated, and not curious enough about our actual problems. So in 2014, a small group of engineers in SoMa decided to build the partner they wished they’d had.

What we believe

Six principles. We hire on them.

Listen first.

We don't pitch on intro calls. We ask questions, take notes, and build from what we hear.

Tailor everything.

No bronze / silver / gold. Every scope is built against your actual environment and compliance regime.

Senior all the way down.

The person who answers your call has run IT or security inside companies like yours — not reading from a script.

Document compulsively.

Every system, account, and runbook is version-controlled, exportable, and yours. If we ever leave, you keep the institutional memory.

Quietly excellent.

We measure success by the meetings you stop having about IT.

Honest about money.

We tell clients to drop tools, downsize plans, cancel things. We'd rather earn the next year than maximize this one.
